Merry Christmas to all!

Merry Christmas to all you purrfect kitties!  It has been a long time since my last posting but it has been a big year for my typist and she is only getting time now to write for me!  I have missed all my furry friends but it has been lovely to read a few things blogs and comments.

I have been busy trying to integrate a new housemate into our house but she has been very accommodating to my morning needs of feeding me.  They put the Christmas tree up and of course, again like last year I had to have a sticky peek at the putting up of the tree.

The past few weeks have been crazy!  I've been racing up and down the stairs and scratching on the couches (I know they don't like me doing it but I just can't help myself!  I don't like the scratching post).

Unfortunately, tomorrow morning is the first day of the sales in Australia and my typist has to go to sleep (but I may wake her up in early!).

Bring on 2009!  Mieow :)

Hop along cassidy!

My SMS is so slow as of late.  A couple of days ago she played netball for the first time in 17 years and then strains her ligament in her left knee.  She is now hopping around and it takes her ages to get me food.  I'm so cheeky that I go through her legs (hee hee hee).  She manages to not trip over me but does get annoyed at me a little.  I like to stir her up!
The weather is getting a little cooler in Sydney, Australia that the gas heater has started being turned on.  I LOVE laying in front of the heater and sleeping.  One of the reasons why I love cold weather.

What's life but a show!

What a great show it was! I totally had fun working in it. But, look what I got from the executives of the CCSI......

This is our group photo of the cast and crew - they are such a fun crowd to work with that I do wish the show could go on forever.

Earlier, on May 8, soon after we retruned from the cruise, I was invited by J kitties of Crizcats to a surprise party that they had organized for their human daddy, the script writer for our show. What scrumptious food...yum!!!!! Lots of other kitties were there as well.....

It's my SMS's birthday

It's my SMS's birthday today. She is so busy that she has probably forgotten about it herself. So Momo and I asked Leslie, mom of the kitties at Topcatrules, Tigger, Trixie and Pyewacket, to help us make a 'surprise party' birthday card for her.....

Thanks Leslie! Have a great birthday!!!!!

Cruise

Momo has invited me to go on a cruise with her and some of our friends. We are meeting at Socks's garden for a picnic first before sailing around the Bay of Mexico and up to Florida to visit some friends. Being in Australia, we have a long way to go. So we have to leave bright and early this morning. Here are Charlie, Momo and I lazing out on deck, soaking up the warm sun, with snacks and iced drinks by our side and catching up on some magazine reading..........

Good to see Socks, Charybdis and Scylla again. Their Butterfly Memorial Garden is looking lovely in spring with many flowers in bloom......

Karl's blogoversary Lizard BBQ Party

I am honoured to be invited to Karl's blogoversary party. The bonus, of course, is that my sweet Riley is going to be there dancing with me as a member of the Mariachi Kitty Dance Troupe. Have we been practicing hard! Just treat it as a rhetoric question, won't you?

It is nice and sunny and we have a great time napping and sunning ourselves before the BBQ starts.....

Middle Name Meme

My sweetheart Riley tagged me for this Middle Name Meme, but since I do not have a middle name I am using my mom's surname

Here is how it works:

1. You have to post the rules before you give your answers.

2. You must list one fact about yourself beginning with each letter of your middle name. (If you don't have a middle name, use your maiden name or your mother's maiden name).

3. At the end of your blog post, you need to tag one person (or blogger of another species) for each letter of your middle name. (Be sure to leave them a comment telling them they've been tagged.)

W - for Waker. I have a lot of ways to wake my SMS for an early breakfast
I - for Imp. I am an impish little girl and up to all sorts of adorable and not-so- adorable tricks.
L - for Lovely. I have lovely eyes, Don't you agree?

L -for Lucky. I have been lucky so far in my life to have scored such a good home and caring humans.
S - for Sweet. I am a sweetie pie!!!! Just ask my SMS and my sweetheart Riley.

I tag Charybdis to play this game

Easter at Mississippi

I have spent this Easter with my cousin Momo. She suggested that we should go on a little trip with Tesla now that she has got rid of her cone. She has never been away before and her mom was a little anxious so we decided to go visit Socks, Scylla and Charybdis at their home at the Mississippi Gulf Coast, where it was safe and we have friends.

As we were leaving our host kitties kindly sent me a basket of lovely spring flowers. Thankyou so much!

I have also prepared a small Easter gift pack to take with us ....

We arrived early and while Scylla and Charybdis were setting up the picnic at the Butterfly Memorial Garden Socks took us to visit the solar fountain...

After the picnic we all lazed around the garden with our favourite drinks on hand and listened to the birdies singing.....

Before we went back to the house Charybdis showed us the geese family that lived on their property. She warned us that the geese might be quite unfriendly and that we should not get too close to them.....

All photos taken by Momo

Back in the house, the girls showed us the pictures that they took in their recent Irish trip and the stuff that they brought back from Munich. Both Tesla and I were envious and wished that we could have gone. Maybe next year....

In the afternoon, their dad took us for a spin in his boat and we passed by Cat Island, a barrier island not far from where they lived. Part of this island is now a sanctuary for migratory birds and alligators. Needless to say we were quite happy not to go ashore and become dinner for the alligators.

We teleported to our respective home soon after. Thankyou for having us, Socks, Scylla and Charybdis, it was a most enjoyable day and it was lovely to see you again.
